VII International VAD Festival 2009: Call for Video and Digital Arts Submissions
VII VAD Festival, Girona, Spain: International call for independent videos, installations and interactive works.
Deadline: June 30, 2009
Subject: the financial crisis, and the selection will be geared towards works that synthesise with, reflect or speculate on the slogan IMAGINING AN (IM)POSSIBLE FUTURE.
Addressed to: artists of all ages and nationalities
Festival dates: October 15 - 25, 2009 (first weekend will focus on professional activities, a seminar and meet-the-artists events.
VAD award: 2000 euros for best work in the competition.
MetrĂ³polis single-channel video award: selection of 4-5 international works (to be included in a special program (total maximum of 25 minutes) on the festival that will be screened on TVE (Spanish national TV), Channel 2. Prizes vary according to the duration of the work (video art, video dance, independent documentary, music videos, animation (no narrataive fiction).
